“Let’s visit here again!”is pronounced Kiotto in Japanese. “Let’s wear a kimono!” is pronounced Kiotto in Japanese. It is a play on words that we used for the name of this establishment and as a way of inviting everyone to enjoy kimono and the Japanese culture. This is what Kiotto is built upon.

Kiotto is also a pun on the word “Kyoto” hoping that people who visit Kyoto would enjoy the culture of Kyoto. As a present from Kiotto to all those interested in Kyoto and Japanese culture, we hold Koto experience, Painting experience, and Kimono wearing.

Our concept is to “enjoy” now.
Beyond the difference of Kimono dress style and western dress style, we are looking for a more free and joyful take on fashion and life style. We return to the roots. The word ‘Kimono’ means ‘things to wear’. We respect and understand tradition and learn new things and adapt it and create a new and flexible way of thinking.
